Meet our founder

A qualified beautician with a passion for maderotherapy, Elodie Manceau, whose mother is Colombian, decided to make it her specialty. Her profession is a vocation that she loves to practice as much as to share.

A graduate of two renowned Colombian schools (Figuras Red, Estrella Calderon) and one in France, she now offers her vision of maderotherapy.

What is Maderotherapy?

Maderotherapy from the etymology "Madera" = Wood in Spanish, would translate as wood therapy. It is an ancestral Colombian massage technique performed with different wooden instruments that adapt perfectly to the shapes of the body and allow many benefits. Maderotherapy is considered the most effective natural and non-invasive massage technique currently, 20x more effective than LPG or Cellu M6. It also allows to drain the body, firm and tone the skin by boosting the natural production of collagen and elastin in the skin. And finally and of course it also allows you to relax and spend a real moment of well-being.

What type of wood is used?

The wood used for our Maderotherapy instruments is high-quality Urapàn wood from Colombia. It is both strong and lightweight.

Where does the name Palmarosa come from?

The name Palmarosa comes from the name of a village in Colombia, in the city of Tolima, recognized for being the most preserved village in the world in terms of environment, there are the most species of birds, varieties of flowers because it is crossed by the Quebrada River which feeds its thirst for beauty. Palmarosa also bears the name of an essential oil very recognized for its benefits, palmarosa is an Indian geranium with purifying, cleansing and anti-cellulite properties. It was therefore the perfect name for its founder.
